Floating

Hello... my axie has been acting very weird this last week...it looks like his bottom floats against his will, because he holds up with his little hands and try to stay in the bottom of the tank but his tail goes up...i guess he has a bubble of air in his guts? i don´t know what to do !!

Do you have gravel in the tank?

i have round stones, big ones so he can´t eat them...

He may need to poo if his tail end is floating up. Are you able to put him in a container of dechlorinated water or tankwater and take some of the water out so his tail end stays down.

You'll need to keep this container cool if you have warm temperatures (even keeping him in the fridge if need be) The coolness will help him to calm down and you may find he stops floating and does a poo.

My axolotls tail was floating all the time but now since I have taken the gravel out it has stopped floating.
