It says, is this normal? id like to know if anybody does. While i have your attention i was searching for pictures of cynops orientalis natural habitat. if anybody has a link or something that would be cool.

I've seen that kind of swelling or bloating twice before. I saw a C. orientalis in a pet store 4-5 years ago like that. It was extremely swollen. More recently I had a friend that had a with Danube Crested Newt with the same ailment. Newts don't seem to be able to endure the bloat. Both newts I knew that had it died.

Here is link to a post of the male Danube Crested Newt that was sick with the bloat. Someone suggested that the cause could be a internal infection of some sort or organ/liver failure.
