I’ve been wondering why my nitrates have been pretty much nonexistent, and I finally found the answer. I have a TON of algae on my glass, though I didn’t notice it because it’s almost transparent on the glass, it just makes the glass more cloudy. I got an old credit card and scraped it off the front and most of the sides, but now there’s a lot of free floating algae sheets. I’m assuming these will get sick up by my filters, but are they okay to float around the tank until they do?
Also, I didn’t want to start another thread so I have another question. My axolotl has had naturally black toetips since she was baby, so when she’s of age to tell her gender, how will I know?
