The genus Phyllomedusa (which are most commonly called monkey frogs) and the genus Agalychnis (containing red-eyed and black-eyed treefrogs) are both in the same subfamily, Phyllomedusinae. This group is usually referred to as "leaf frogs" or "branch frogs."
