I have saved lots of frog eggs before but I have only kept them until they fave grown all four legs and lungs so I was wondering what kind of conditions to keep them in past that.:frog::confused:

Hi axiegirl,

You might like to take a look at the forums under Anura (Frogs).

http://www.caudata.org/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=54

I guess the type of vivarium you would need depends on the type/types of frogs you are keeping. Some would require a semi aquatic setup (area of water with a slope up to terrain) while others may just require moist peat type soil.

You can post photos of your frogs for the experts to identify the species for you so you can learn more about feeding and caring for them.

On another note, i think you posted this question in the wrong forum section. Hope i was able to help nontheless.

Cheers

The best advice I can give you until we know what kind of frogs you have is to keep the humidity at 40-75%. Feed newly morphed frogs fruit flies or depending on how small they are they may even need to eat springtails. Keep a small water dish in there as well but make sure it's not deep enough for the froglets to drown in. Oh, a little tip, it is easier and more beneficial to keep froglets on moistened non-bleached paper towels.

later,
Justin

Thanks for the advice guys the frogs are actualy still half way between eggs and tadpoles but it dosent hurt to be orginised. A frog came and laid about 100 eggs while we were away I will try to get some pictures A.S.A.P
