PBS in the US are showing a documentary called "Frogs: The Thin Green Line" as part of their "Nature" series at 8pm Eastern Standard Time (7pm central) on Sunday April 5th. There's a preview here:

There are also some nice videos on the web site. There is some good educational info on Atrazine and pollution. Very interesting stuff.

Anyone else watch this? I counted 2 kinds of salamander! Regarding the program content, I have to say it was a decent show and the photography was superb. A couple of things annoyed me though - for example, they named hardly any of the species they showed (contrast this with any Attenborough documentary which tells you the common name for everything). The main annoyance for me though was that they gave specific locations for some endangered species, several times. One would think that people making a program about the conservation of endangered species would know better?

Dang I can't believe I didn't hear of this show in time, guess thats what I get for being away from the forum for the weekend. If anyone else missed it, it will be airing again Thusday at 7:00 pm and Sunday at 12:00 am on most PBS stations.

Drat. Missed it too.

I caught this thread about three hours beforehand, lucky me. I also agree with idea that it is seemingly counterproductive to mention specific locales for endangered species which you are working to save. Great program though, I especially liked the part, or rather the idea, where shipping containers were used in the Australian captive breeding section of the show. :D

The good news is you can catch this show on Hulu.com in the next few days...its not posted as of this writing, but will be soon!

I wonder if they used the same "stunt" spotted salamander through the show?:D

Full episode is currently available on the PBS website as of this posting.
