Frozen food for T. Granulosa...

Which varieties are safe to feed? I know they can have bloodworms and brine shrimp, but can they eat mysis shrimp? Beefheart?

I think all frozen fish foods are ok, as long as the newts will eat them. I feed mine bloodworm, brine shrimp, daphnia and cyclops depending on their size.
I would definitely avoid beef heart or any other lean meat. It's very low in calcium and other minerals and although newts will eat it they struggle to digest it properly which can contribute to poor water quality.
The best foods for newts, especially large ones like Taricha are earthworms or pellets. Both of those contain all the nutrition they need and can be fed as a staple diet without anything else being needed.

Hey can you help me out? Hi I have a pair of adults and they as well as pictures I’ve seen of many newts have black or brown dots all over their belly and on the sides of their face. Is this some sort of fungus or anything? Or just part of their look. Again I think I might just be paranoid because I have seen white of few pics on line of taricha with same markings/dots, but some without. They are active, eat great and keep their heads held high.

It would be best if you make your own thread about this problem, You're much more likely to get the help you need that way. It would also help enormously if you could post some pictures of your newts. I've seen Taricha with all sorts of abnormal markings that were perfectly natural, but without seeing pics it's almost impossible give advice about yours.
