Frozen food too cold?

Hi, My question is, without thinking ive been feeding my frozen bloodworms (hikari bio pure gut loaded)
when they are still not 100% defrosted, Im not talking frozen im talking they are still gonna be cold, will this be dangerous to the axie?
Ive seen people feed a frozen beedheart thingo still pretty much frozen in the centre, dangerous?
I think if its food its not an issue but water temp yes.

I don't have axie experience on this, but I do have some picky fish who don't like trying new things and for them still partially-frozen bloodworm cubes just aren't the same thing as bloodworms defrosted in a little bit of tank water which they obviously prefer as they refuse to eat the defrosting stuff if I accidentally dump it in the tank too early. The problem I see with it is that an axie might be inclined to 'hoover up' the entire partially thawed bloodworm cube and then end up ingesting a larger amount of the 'unknown water' the bloodworms were frozen in. Also, it just seems to be the standard recommendation to defrost the bloodworms in tank water in a separate container before feeding.

I don't understand what you mean by a water temp issue because I can't see a couple bloodworm cubes thawing in the tank dropping the water temp any significant amount but I could always be wrong.

I always thaw mine out but there were a few times i just stuck the whole frozen cube in there
mine still ate them but he would swallow the whole cube
he would seem to have to hold it in his mouth and attempt many times to swallow before he actually did swallow it
I dont like holding ice cubes in my mouth all that long so I just go ahead and thaw the food, makes it easier to feed with the turkey baster too for less mess

I believe the issue with partially frozen things is that, being a coldwater animal, the really cold cube slows down metabolism maybe? and this could lead to him throwing the food back up as he cant digest it
But it wont cool your tank down, ive accidently done it one time and the cube just floated on the top of the water then when it had defrosted, it all sunk all over the place!
It really is best to just put a little tank water in the pot the frozen cube is in and leave it for 10 mins, then when its defrosted, pop it in your feeding dish.

Whenever I feed frozen bloodworms, I thaw them first in a little tank water then use the baster to transfer them into the tank.

Think I've read on other threads that feeding frozen food can cause floating sometimes. But if it's the temperature your worried about, I would think it would quickly warm up once in the tank water anyway.
