The last thought through that poor snake, "man, I didn't know that was your cousin!"
 
that reminds me of my favorite nature special. Its set during the rainy season in africa and all the baby african bull frogs are metamorphing. So there is a snake hanging out eating all the babies as they come out of the water and then this big adult hops out of the underbrush and chomps down the snake. totally awesome.
 
There is also the one where the turtles (Pelusios I think) are pulling the doves into the water and eating them.

I agree it is more in line with Pelusios. I thought that is what they were but it has also been a long time since I saw that program.
