Gill Fungus? Started after fridging

Alright, so i got a new axolotl, and put him right in the fridge because he wasn't looking too good. I thought this may help him out! Now i've found what i think to be is gill fungus and i'm not sure how severe this is.. Please help? He's already in the fridge so i'm not sure what else there is to do!
