Hi! I recently noticed something weird happening to my Lotl's gills.
They're much paler and are losing the fluffy frills in certain, small spots on the top-most gills, and, though it may just be my eyes, they look a little skinnier. At first I thought the white spots may be fungus but they don't look right.
The PH is about 7.5, temp around 15 C, Ammonia tested at about 0.5, though all I had on short notice was a strip test kit. I was worried it was ammonia levels because recently I've been too busy to clean the poo out regularly, but apparently that isn't the case?
Other than this he's been the same happy guy he usually is, still eating and everything. Does anybody know if I should be worried / what might be causing this?
