Hello. I am posting because I got concerned my axolotl as I noticed he started getting sick as soon as I put him in his new tank. Ever since I put him in his appetite has decreased and his gills have turned a black color and look clumpy. I noticed a couple days ago he had some white cotton like fluff on his gills and I immediately pulled him out and am currently tubbing him with Indian almond leaves. He has had this cotton fungus before so I was to alarmed, I think what really scares me is he isn't eating and was paler than normal... I have no idea what went wrong... When I was cycling my tank he was always hungry and his gills were nice and fluffy and redish purple. I have a chiller set up to stay at a consistent 62-64 degrees and the fluval canister filter is set to the lowest flow... has someone had this same experience? I feel like I'm failing him 😞

I have posted before and after pictures of his gills.
