I got my Axies this past Sunday. The first day I figured they would be stressed from the move. I noticed Taters(norm Leu) gills slightly curled forward. Stitch(gfp Leu) has seemed normal. Tater seems to have A gill that looks permanetly curled. They are pooing and eating and seem happy. I have a small filter and a small air wand with plants and rocks breaking up the water flow. I am attaching some pictures of both axies in hopes someone can tell me if this is normal gills or if Taters gills are curled.
Any opinions welcome.

It looks fine to me. Some axies hold their gills forward more than others. If they curve forward to the point that the tips of their gills touch them, then you have a problem.

They look fine and dandy  One of my youngest (approx 6-7 months) has always had curly gills but like yours eats well and seems very happy. You've got plants in front of your filter which is a great move to stop current so it shouldn't be affecting them.

Thank you so very much, I really appricate the feed back. I am new to this and have tried to research everything I can but get confused on some of the explanations.
Thanks Again
