I'm giving serious consideration to scrapping the old forum archive - the software may be causing a bad interaction with the software on the new forum. The only thing I would remove would be the scripts that run the old forum, not the messages or the images there. It would mean you can follow links to images and messages but you wouldn't be able to do searches, etc.

Most of the messages on the archive are on the new forum anyhow.

Any thoughts?

If nothing is really lost, I'm all for it!

Yeah go for it! If it will help this forum that I guess its for the best.

Go for it. Especially if it is causing the server problems.

If you really need to search the old archive for something (a picture, for instance) there is the ever handy site:www.caudata.org command with Google.

To be exact if you type in site:http://www.caudata.org/forum/messages/ and then your search request into Google it will search only the forum for you. Ta da! You can even make it just a picture search.
