Gravel,sand or rocks?

Im thinkn for settn up a new tank and not sure what to use at the moment i have multi colourd fish tank gravel a few marballs and a big rock an they seem to be diggn it for the last 5 years

if you use gravel make sure the axies cant swallow it because it can seriously harm them or even kill them.i use large rocks/pebbles with a few smaller pebbles to fill in any gaps.a lot of people on here recommend sand as its easy to keep clean.im hopefully changin to sand when i get a new tank for my axies.
