A couple months ago i had posted help for a fire bellied newt who wasnt eating. Well recently a friend of mine told me how to force feed them. it may sound a bit cruel but this thing was as thin as a piece of paper! he gladly eats it now out of my hands. now all i need to know is how to get him to start eating on his own again. i have been feeding him: mealworms, waxworms ,small crickets, and declawed baby crayfish.

Is he aquatic or terrestrial? I have quite a few spoon fed dependant newts (1 eastern and 2 T.Grans) Sometimes if they're terrestrial putting the worms down in front of them works if they actually see you place the food down. my eastern newt is getting the hang of it but the Tarichas just look at the food on the ground then look at me expectantly to spoon feed them!
