finally i managed to get all four of my axies into the same photo.lol. i also have a new male axolotl which is albino and his name is alberto. at the time i got him i was after an albino male or a melanoid male and there were a pair of albinos and melanoids but the melanoid male had a bit of fungus on his gill and one of his feet was bitten off. so i got the albino male only, i suppose i could have gotten the other male as well but i thought it would be better to get healthy axies rather than sick ones. i also have other pics. enjoy!

Vanessa, My white Axolotl came to me in the mail. His right front arm was nearly completly missing, it was bloody, and fleshy at the end. What I did for him was get him in fresh clean declorinated water with about 1/2 of a teaspoon of salt, no salt baths. I put new salt in every time I did a water change, and I kept him in the fridge a lot. Poor little Axolotl at the petstore with the fungus. did you tell the clerks about him? that they need to get him out of the tank and into a salt bath? Also, your new Axolotl that you got, if he was kept in the same tank as the Axolotl with the fungus, you might not want to keep him in the tank with the other Axolotls until you know for sure he is healthy. Did you quarintine him for a while before you put him in the new tank?

Annie-Marie- that light brown wildtype is oliver, the one that was sick, he seems so happy now he is in the big tank. i got him from tropigold which is an aquarium in rockingham, at the moment they have heaps of that colour except they are a bit lighter.

Nathan- my tank is 4ft by 18 inches by 18 inches, i also have a 2ft tank.

Rheann- i now wish that i had got that melanoid male because i could have helped him, it was just that everytime i get a sick axie from a pet shop i get really really stressed and have trouble sleeping because i dont want them to die. i told the people at the shop that he had fungus and they didnt seem to do anything. i feel guilty now. i might ask my mum if she can drive me down to that aquarium shop so i can save it. i am quarrantining the albino at the moment, i havnt put him in my main tank yet cause he might have fungus too.

cynthia-i am trying to get all the different colours i can find but it is kind of hard because usually i want them to be of a certain gender. i would have to say that my favourite axie colour would be white albino and melanoid because their skin looks cool and velvety.lol

Monica- my axies are robust because they are complete little pigs and are always looking for more food, even after they have just been fed.lol. i was just lucky being able to have that cave because my mums boyfriend works in newman and brought back tons of river rocks for our pond. i got what was left and made a cave out of them, i had to wash them heaps.

okay, i just couldnt help myself after seeing Anne-Maries albino in a top hat and a cane, and since this axie is her sister i figured they both must be the entertainers in their tanks and it must run in the family.lol. Nigella in a tutu! it isnt as good as how rheann did Anne-maries though

Hey Vanessa, Don't feel too bad about the Axie at the store. It is kind of you to offer to help him though

I just tell my self that not all animals can be saved in the world, but it is the pet stores responsiblity to keep the animals healthy. Hey, great job on the Tutu! What are you talking about, that is a better job than I could do, I just got the top hat off the net and photo shopped it in, you're is great!

Rheann-thanks that has made feel alot better, i was almost going to sign a contract with my mum saying that i had to do house work for two years just so she would drive me to that aquarium shop to get that axie and she didnt want to because 1. we went there yesterday and it is pretty far away, and 2. because my mum doesnt really want me to get another axie when i have so many babies that i could keep. so i was trying to bribe her.lol. i love your drawings rheann i am good at drawing too, i get to design a colouring in competition for my city every year, but i think that your cartoon axies are better than what i could draw because i am not that good at cartoons.

Anne-Marie- i thought that pink was soo her colour and that it would contrast with her dark wildtype skin.lol

at first i thought that Nigella was a boy so i named her Nigel but then i realised that she was a girl. i was going to leave her name the way it was, but then i thought how much i would hate having a boys name so i changed it to Nigella and decided that she was named after Nigella Lawson who is a famous chef.

also i was wondering if i could print that picture of your top hat and cane axie so that i can put that and my tutu axie in a photo frame?

Nathan- it took me ages to be able to draw anything half decent on paint but i found that it is easier to use when you have two hands on the mouse.
