Hand feeding

Feed em by hand

. If you have just got an axy from a pet shop, the staff usually just use sinking pellets or frozen food left in the tank(I think). In that case, you may need to let your axolotl get used to your hand just being in the tank before offering food directly.
Another method which works well is to spear the food on the end of a wooden skewer or toothpick and let the axolotl feed from the end of the wood. They will typically snap, and in that way, the food will come off the toothpick. After that, it's easy just to have strips of food, or worms, in your hand and let them know its there by plonking it in front of their face. Easy.

I suggest using long tongs or chopsticks for a few reasons. For one, you won't scare the axolotl with this gigantic hand coming down at him. At least at first, this will be less stressful for the animal. Until they get used to you, and don't freak out when you start moving stuff in their tank. 2, you don't get as messy.

strange my axie is so use to me feeding it
that when ever get close to the tank she
goes into hunt mode. (looks up and
starts heading for the surface.)

Wave in front as well so they get the instictive movement as when they were young
