well after lots of water care he is home. thanks for your advise i tried peat and it worked. also added live fern and a moss ball which he loves moving round tank. fingers crossed for next few weeks.

thanks he lost alot of his gills when the water went bad but they have seemed to start filling out again. the tunnel is made of rocks and he can get round the back and through the drift wood he spends most of his time attacking the fern as it moves, or trying to belly flop the moss ball. he is so funny im so glad he pulled through
