Head butting axie

Hi, I am a newbie and could really do with some info on why my axie keeps head butting the end of the tank. I have 2 in a 60lt tank, both are eating well, and tests show that the water is fine, temp is also ok. They are both about 16cm long, could my tank be too small? Only 1 is doing the headbutting but both like doing laps. He/she (not sure yet)doesn't seem to get hurt, but acts surprised when it happens. is this strange behaviour normal?

I think your tank is a bit on the small side, which could be causing him to butt his head. My axie did this too when we had her in a tank that was too small. When we moved her to a large tank (180 litres for two axies), she stopped doing it immediately.

Hows your temperature?

Axies tend to become allot more active if they start to get too warm.

I Also agree though that your tank is a bit on the small side.

i used to have 2 x axies in a 60cm x 30 x 30 tank and they used to swim flat out into the the sides, but since putting them in a bigger tank they dont do it anymore.....
