I have 3 lesser sirens under my care at a professional institution and am hoping to utilize the expertise of people on this forum when I have questions/concerns about these awesome amphibians.
Currently, all three of these animals are over 24 inches in length and one has recently started displaying strange behavior that is making me wonder if there is any way to determine its age for I fear it may be sick or dying. Am I right to assume that lesser sirens of this size are at least 4 years of age? Any other tips to determining the age of these animals would be greatly appreciated.
