Hello caudate fans! I'm Christina but would rather be called Kudos and have just joined.I have 2 parent axolotls; George and Kai (George is a female) and about 30 larvae.

Hello kudos, I welcome you to this fantastic forum, uniting the worldwide culture that is caudata.
Notice the green colour sceme and pleasing asthetic layout.
You can also choose from a range of emotive 'smiley' icons, ranging from the 'thumbs-up', to the angry redface person, its up to you.. I see you picked the grinning greenface person, also a personal favourite of mine.
I had a larval axolotl who has just become a juvanile, it's about one and a 1/2 inches long.
He/she is refered to as 'the monster'

thanks Lims

Thanks for the welcome Lims
'the moster'? why is he/she called that?
Yes I did notice the green colour scheme. It does go good with caudata creatures.:kill:The smilies make the posts look cool.
My larvae won't grow or they are growing just very very slowly. They are 25 days old and only 1.5cm. The water is only about 14 degrees C though i my normal tanks. One tank gets its own light to warm it to 18 degrees C when I am home so they are slighty bigger.

hi kudos

People just kept refering to him/her as the monster so thats his/her name now.
I think they might grow faster if you feed them more, what do you feed them?
I fed mine baby krill which you can get from internet and hatch yourself, or if you can get dapnia small enough. I filtered mine through a coffee strainer then through some tights over a ring to get just the little ones. Later they take the big ones.
I dont know what temp mine were at though,,,

I'm feeding them bugs out of a pond because no pet shop around here sells anything.... I think the bugs are daphnia but I can't be sure. Now I've got brine shrimp off the internet and trying to hatch them but I think the water may be too cold.:(
