Greetings from Chicago! My 10-year-old daughter saved her money, did the research, and decided on a pet newt. Six months later, we have an eastern newt named Fig Newton and our whole family is enjoying her. She is curious, timid, and patient. We already love her. I have a degree in zoology, but know very little about this animal, so we are glad to be able to learn from the expertise and experience here.
