Greetings all!
I am 23 and on this very day I graduated from the University of Wisconsin - River Falls with a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology. I would really like to attend graudate school at the University of Minnesota in some aspect of molecular biology. I was born and raised in Minnesota and I will be moving back there in two to three weeks.
I have had a great love for amphibians since I was very young. I was out catching frogs, toads and salamanders and researching them at local libraries since I was about six years old. I only recently learned that people actually kept these animals in captivity. I've had my newts and salamanders for the past two years. I currently keep Cynops orientalis, Pachytriton labiatus, and Salamandra salamandra.
I also am a huge fan of parrots and have a nice lutino pearl cockatiel that I adopted. Her name is Wrinkle and she is as odd as her name. I also love fish keeping and I plan on joining the American Killifish Association soon. I basically love all animals but my favorites are the newts and salamanders and the least favorite are the furry ones.
Other hobbies of mine include reading, both science related non-fiction and all sorts of fiction, board games and story games.
Please feel free to PM or email me and I hope to see everyone around the boards.
