I'm not a newts keeper yet but have a great interested in those animals (well in whole aquatic life to be honest). I've found this splendid site when I was doing some research about species of newts I've observed recently in my area.
At last spring has started here in far east and it's time to loose some wieight after lazy winter times.
I currently keep 10 (Synodontis polli http://www.planetcatfish.com/scripts/clog_link.php?q=synodontis+polli, Synodontis petricola http://www.planetcatfish.com/scripts/clog_link.php?q=synodontis+petricola, Synodontis lucipinnis http://www.planetcatfish.com/scripts/clog_link.php?q=synodontis+lucipinnis, Synodontis tanganyicae http://www.planetcatfish.com/scripts/clog_link.php?q=synodontis+tanganyicae, Synodontis ornatipinnis http://www.planetcatfish.com/scripts/clog_link.php?q=synodontis+ornatipinnis, Hara jerdoni http://www.planetcatfish.com/scripts/clog_link.php?q=hara+jerdoni, Phyllonemus typus http://www.planetcatfish.com/scripts/clog_link.php?q=phyllonemus+typus, Lophiobagrus brevispinis http://www.planetcatfish.com/scripts/clog_link.php?q=lophiobagrus+brevispinis, Tanganikallabes mortiauxi http://www.planetcatfish.com/scripts/clog_link.php?q=tanganikallabes+mortiauxi[a true gem, my pride], Centromohlus perugiae http://www.planetcatfish.com/scripts/clog_link.php?q=centromochlus+perugiae livebearer in catfishes ) species of catfishes, mainly from Africa (lake Tanganyika) - those creatures fascinate me since I remember. I have also few species of dwarven crayfishes. I guess I have similar problem like all of you newts geeks! Too many tanks and too small house. I've just started building my fishroom and have a special "newts corner" planned in so hopefully in short time I will be able to participate in some more serious discussions .
