Hi. My name is Lies and I live in Japan at the moment. My fiance won an axolotl, or oopa-loopa as they are called in Japan, from a crane game. We've had her for about 5 months now. It's the first amphibian of any kind I've ever had. We also have two cats. That's it!

One of those fairground games where you usually dont win a cuddly toy? lol, was it actually in the machine, or did you get a token and get given it from a holding area ? sorry to ask but i find cultural differences interesting, this would be frowned upon if not illegal in the UK. Lol, I still remember when they used to give goldfish at fairs. Was that from hook a duck though or...? I honestly can't remember.
An Axolotl does seem a bit of a large responsibilty for a crane to give though. I am glad it got you into them though, as they are adorable. I just pity the ones who end up with people who don't now enough.
