Help filter problems

Today I rinsed off one of the two filter pads (first time) and once I plugged the filter back in I noticed it making a strange sound, almost like a bubbly gurgling noise. Is this normal, it has never done this before.

What kind of filter do you have Ryan? Often times power filters of various designs will make some noise when restarted (usually expelling trapped air) but it is rarely anything permanent as long as everything is functioning correctly.
