help identify my plant?

It was kind of difficult to be certain from the video however that looks like watersprite to me. If that's what it is then you will have a lot of it in the coming months as it is fast growing and generally very hardy under a variety of conditions. Do you have a place for the newt to exit the water? It was difficult to tell from the video.

It does look like water sprite but I suspect that it is actually water wisteria (Hygrophila difformis).

yea, I think it is a water wisteria judging from the google pictures.
