HELP!!!! my axie jumped out the tank HELP!!!

Hi, My golden Albino axie, at some stage over night it jumped out of the tank, I have a tight fitting lid, but he seemed to escape at the corner where the lid is cut to pass through airlines etc.
I have no idea how long it has been out of the tank, but I'm assuming it was a while as his skin was very dry, and there a small blood streaks in his tail from the fall, there are no signs of serious damage, and as soon as I put him in water again he started swimming madly.
I've put him in the fridge at the moment, with a half dose of melafix to try and repair damage done to his slimecoat.
The axie is about 11 cm long and about 3.5 months old.
PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think you have done exactly the right things for him. I hope for the best.

I recommend black electrical tape or foam insulation material to cover gaps around lids.
