Hello everybody.
I've just joined the forum so hello and thanks im pleased to be a member of the community.

I Have a two year old Iberian ribbed newt who has developed a raised white lump on his mid flank. I have never come across anything with him before he is still active and eats well. Should I be worried. Can anyone tell me what it may be please?

Is it affecting any of his behaviors such as eating or activity level? I would keep an eye on it and watch to see if it spreads, grows, or anything like that and consider taking him to a vet. I don't know much in detail about anything like this I'm just throwing out some general guide lines for you. Good luck!

His behaviour is completely normal and I haven't seen any changes in habits or anything. I'm stumped to know if it's anything or nothing really

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
