Help with plants, broken stems

Soooo I accidentally broke off the stems from my anubias nana, so all that’s left is the rhizome.

If I silicone the stems to a piece of driftwood, will they root? Or just die off? And will the rhizome grow new stems?

I don't know what you name stems. Probably not really stems, but petioles.
For Anubias, the rhizome may be the only part which will survive.
