Help with sponge filter connection

I just got the complete set up for the beautiful axolotl I will be getting in a few days. The problem I am having is with the size of the tube connection on the sponge filter. It is far bigger than the tubing for the pump. Is there a place I can find different size tubing to fix the problem?

Aquarium supply stores should have different size tubing, maybe give your local ones a call to find out
