My ammonia levels are reaching up to 4 and my hardness is 0ppm should I take my axie out of his tank?! How do I cycle my filter?!

Hi ya, I would do a large water change 50-60% to bring the ammonia levels down. Test daily for nitrite, ammonia and nitrate, with water changes. Add some bio media/ healthy bacteria to your filter to boost it. If you've only got one axolotl in the tank it should be easy to bring the levels down so as not to stress him/her out too much.

Thats a lot better but 1 is still pretty harmful. I would do another 50% water change to bring it down as much as possible. How is your axolotl looking. Any signs of stress?
