My bf's biggest axolotl baby stopped eating. He went around 4 days or so w out eating and then it started floating belly up. I googled & read several posts about fridging it so we finally did. Its been in the fridge 3 days now and no improvement. My bf took him out of fridge (i told him would stress him out worse with extreme temp change). It looks like he might have a fungus on his toes. Not sure if its fungus or poop. But im not sure what to do now.... put him back in fridge or ? Any advice would help asap as we are very new to all of this :(

What are your tank parameters? Temperature?

Are you able to flip him over onto his belly and take a pic from that angle? Also a close-up of the possible fungus?

I dont have a test kit so not sure. Tank was averaging around 70°F when he was in it. We are moving them all into a bigger tank that is at our house so we can keep them cooler. The fungus stuff i was able to remove so hopefully that means it wasnt fungus. Since it was already out of fridge & warming up i tried to feed him. He took couple bites of bloodworms but then puked them up few mins later :( i put him back in fridge

Fungus does come off, when Bucky last had an infection I put him in a salt baths and it all came off almost right away.
You want to get a test kit asap, you need to be testing the water every week as ammonia and nitrites are toxic, and could be causing your issue. A lot of LFS also will test your water free of charge.
The temp is probably contributing to it. Put a fan on your tank and it will hopefully drop it down to optimal levels. 70 degrees is too hot for them, even temporarily.
