Found two of my African clawed frogs in amplexus the other night. These are babies that I kept from last year's breeding, so I didn't think they would be ready to reproduce already a year later. But they were trying! I didn't find any eggs, either because they really are too young, or because the other frogs in the basin ate them before I could find them.
I heard the male calling this time, though. Very cool.
I'm simultaneously disappointed and relieved not to have frog tadpoles to raise along with the baby caudates....
