Herping in idaho?

Hi I'm currently on my way to idaho falls and I wanted to catch some reptiles or some amphibians (preferably salamanders) so I guess my question is, are their a lot of salamander or snakes or lizards. If so how common are they?

I already have and it just tells me what kinds of animals are out there not how common they are or best times of years to catch them. but also I was looking for someone in that area to tell me.

I know the Bitterroot Mountains south of Kellogg are a good area. You need an Idaho non-game permit to catch.
