hi all i am interested in breeding after discovering that the acid level in mexico is getting too high for them to survive.I am interested in obtaining eggs,im from melbourne,i have kids and this is part of their home schooling program to care about the enviroment ,i currently have a albino white and golden spotted rare axolotl,i did have a black however the animal was not cared for by the store and was sick when i got it ,i would like to not only raise and sell them but to make the person purchasing aware of the impact the environment is having on them and how to care for them with love ,thanks for the website ,cheers robyn

success,my first batch of brine shrimp all be it that i can nearly not see them yet yippee>>>>>

Axolotls are quite prevalent in the pet trade. It's not the acidity of the Mexican lakes that are most contributing to their demise in the wild, but the introduction of non-native species (which, I'm sure as an Australian, you're familiar with), human development, and habitat loss.

If you are interested in breeding axolotls, there are many resources here to get you started. Although I hate to break it to you, but there's really no money in selling axolotls. Many times, you can't even give them away and you end up stuck with 30 axolotls and no where to put them.
