Hi, im from texas and I'm very interested in raising/breeding newts/salamanders. I already have other pets like Beardies and turtles but i've always wanted to get into this species.

I'm thinking about either, Red spotted newts or marbled salamanders. any suggestions? pros/cons?

Hi Set, please check the forum rules; you need to add a real name and country to your profile.

Neither of those species is what I'd call easy. RSN are very hard to raise from egg to adult. Marbled sals' young are easy to raise, but they are challenging to get to breed in captivity.
