I need to move my axies. The frog room is just too warm for them now that I have chickens and other poultry incubating and hatching in there.

How cold is too cold for them? I have an idea where I want to move them but wanted to get some opinions on how cold the water could get before it started causing problems.

Mine are housed in tanks that regularly get down in the low 30's, sometimes even upper 20's. Only thing you'll notice when they get that cold is a reduce appetite. Anything between 40-60'f would be perfect.

If it's not too cold for you to comfortably visit, it's likely not a problem.

Unless you actually freeze them, they'll be survive, but if you get too cold, they're going to get even lazier than normal, eat and poop less (a normal schedule can be helpful to determining overall health), and be really boring lumps.

As long as their water isn't frozen, they'll be ok. But the colder the water, the less you'll see your axies moving. They will be very lethargic.

Thank you guys. I am going to move them today. The area they are moving too is heated but not heated well. I hope the change in water temps maybe gets them into breeding mode :)
