How do you spot fungus on golden albinos who have white patches as normal colour ?

i have this problem too. i went through about 3 days treating mine for fungus before i realised it was his colouration. the only way is to look closely. fungus will be slightly furry if you look really close.

Ok well I don't know about goldens, but the fungus I've seen on my little white babies, was pretty hard to spot at first as I thought it was skin colour but if you sort of look from all angles and it looks hairy/furry its fungus. I'm really probably not helping much am I but that's my five cents worth!

I've attached some pics - they all look like this - although the smallest one has a little more .

All three are eating fine etc ...

2 of them like floating occassionally but come back down no problem ...

They look normal. fungus isn't as translucent as that.

Lovely colours! It looks like pigmentation to me.

How old are they, my sister has two axies that are the floaters of her brood and they're over a year old, if you lift the tank covers one or the other are generally floating (nothing wrong with the water, it's tested weekly) they like to gloat beneath the floating plants every so often.

Cool thanks

They were born on the 1st July - so just over 6 months old. It was hard to get a sideways view - if I go over to the tank they normally stare at me lol.
