My axie is about two or three inches long. I successfully fed him a piece of earth worm earlier, but I wasn't sure how much to feed him a day.

two whole wrigglers?

isn't that too much food for a 5-7 cm axie??

I am giving my 8 cm axie a small earthworm, about 2-3 cm (of a big one cut up or a small one of about 5 cm) a day... am I feeding too little?

I gave Swarley a second piece of worm, and he didn't eat it. He did push it into his hide though. Maybe he's expecting to have a snack later lol. Luckily, his hide has a few holes in the top, so I can pull out any of the food he tries to squirrel away with a baster.

Mine is a little bigger than that maybe around 3-4 inches. I feed him an earthworm every other day. Last week he kept giving me googley please feed me eyes every time I sat down. I swear when I ignored him he stood with his hands on his hips! Must post the picture. Anyway, so I did feed him two days in a row but I think he had eyes bigger than his belly because he seemed to get a bit lazy for the rest of the day and wasn't hungry the next day.

Sorry. I don't think this answers your question. I was so worried about feeding last month when Trejo arrived. I guess what I mean is that its all a learning process. I think you'll both get into a routine with each other.

:-D

I've found that axies definitely have an attitude haha! He sulks when I move stuff to clean around. So when I'm done he goes over all of it and then looks at me like "this doesn't go here!"

Anyway, I've found he can eat two one inch worm pieces a day. Hes growing like a weed though. Lately, a quarter of an inch a day! So I don't worry about the amount anymore.
