I generally clean my tigers' vivs every 6 weeks or so. I just use very hot water and a sponge with a scrubbie (no detergent). If you are using a glass aquarium, you can also disinfect with a dilute bleach solution or dilute Novalsan solution....which I do periodically. Rinse several times with water. I wouldn't use these solutions on porous materials, however.

If you are keeping the tigers in a naturalistic kind of setup, like with soil, I wouldn't bother to do anything beyond removing the old soil. I probably wouldn't even rinse the tank. If there has been a disease or other problem, then you would use the dilute bleach or Nolvasan, as Jan mentioned. If not, I wouldn't bother. The bacteria that live in soil are generally beneficial, and it might actually be helpful to allow the bacteria to carry over to the new soil.
