Hungry Abystoma Gracile

This is one of my Ambystoma gracile gracile, aka Brown salamander, and Northwestern salamander. This particular individual sticks its head out and spies me through the moss when it knows that it is feeding time. Although she is very polite, she doesn’t think twice about grabbing the worm with her lightning fast reflexes.

Nice looking animal. Don't see too many pictures of those on the site. Are they common in the hobby, and do you know if there has been success captive breeding?

No, they are not common in the hobby, and I am not aware of any successful captive breeding. See, that's how much I know - not much! They are very impressive animals.

Well they were oned in Luxembourg by Robert Thorn, but that's the only captive breeding article I know about ...
