Hydra

I've acquired quite a few hydra in my apline newt tadpole tank. Tadpoles are 1.5-2cm. Do I need to worry?

I've seen hydra with recently hatched fish fry and would worry re newly hatched newts. I know hydra have stinging cells which release poisons and tiny prey that can't instantly get away after the first tentacle attaches to them are held down etc by other tentacles moving towards it. Do you need to take the risk
