I don't think this is normal...

I'm totally new to Axies, read all the care sheets and stuff on here, and found a totally white axie at the local pet shop, I would say it's albino, except it's eyes and gills are white too, not red. I put him in a 10g tank with a sand base, and a smallish smooth rock ornament. I used tank water from one of my other tanks to start this one, and have been treating it with cycle, and monitoring the water conditions. He has been swimming around like normal, except he bumps into the glass alot, so we bought a background, in case he couldn't make out the glass.

The first few days the axie was eating frozen bloodworms from my hand. The last two days he has stopped eating, and today he started floating at the top. He would swim to the bottom, then a few minutes later back up to the top. I just checked in on him, and he's kind of on his side at the bottom. I'm at a loss. Can anyone give advise. I did a small water change tonight, to suck up poop and uneaten food, treated with cycle and Amquel.

What is your tank temp. and have you tested the water for ammonia, nitrite and nitrates?

Sadly my axie died shortly after posting this last night. For the record the Ammonia, Nitrites/trates, Ph, and temp were all near perfect. I'm thinking I might have bought him sick. The pale gills seemed strange to me, but he was the only one at the shop (only the 2nd one I've ever seen in person) so I didn't have a real comparison.
