<i>Hynobius tokyoensis</i> egg development

here are some development shots of my H. tokyoensis eggs. out of the 2 sacs i first found, each one contained a viable egg.

there was a second set of sacs laid a few days later but they were small, deformed and duds...

here is a later shot-after most eggs began to fuzz i cut open the egg sac and removed the good egg

and today i went in and saw this

Awww, a "lonely only" child. Looks quite well developed for a hatchling.
