I need info on dirt tank for cfbn

Hi I am new here and I have gotten 2 cfbn and one of them had a bad leg or foot I guess cause this morning I noticed it was gone! Do they eat their own feet? or did it just rot off? My main question is how do I set up a dirt quarintin(sp) tank for him/her any help would be appreciated

Shelly, disappearing limbs are common among newly-purchased firebellies. It can grow back, but it is a bad sign regarding the animal's general health.

I assume you read about the dirt quarantine on Caudata Culture (http://www.caudata.org/cc/articles/sores.shtml). What exactly do you need to know? If you send me an email, I can put you in touch with the author of the article.

Thank you Jennewt, but of course I found the article after I had posted, I was just really worried about him, but now I got a dirt quarantine set up so hopefully he will get better. I did notice that he now has a white spot on his nose and belly that has me worried. And he has not eaten since I bought him about 2 weeks now. I try every day with chopped up earthworm but he just turns his head away and curls up.
