the last clutch my axies had made 3 what I thought were albinos... but now that they are getting bigger im not so sure.:confused: they appear to have no eyes at all.... ive used light to see if they reflect but nothing, the others I have u can see where their eyeballs are, they protrude some.. :eek: can anyone help me out here? have I lost my mind lol :cry:
ps. some of the pics are bright bc I wanted to show the "non refelction"

The albino shown in the pictures certainly looks like it is missing it's eyes. Other than the missing eyes, it is a very pretty axie! It will make a great pet, just be sure not to breed it.
 
Ok its not just me lol. I have 3 that are eyeless. I gotta say they are facinating though. Thanks

Wow three eyeless axies, how interesting, so they happen to come from the same clutch? If so the mother could have bad genes and any that are from the clutch may have this gene, I would be careful when breeding any from the same bloodline As it looks to be a bad case of bad genes. Iv never seen any ones like this let alone 3... Wow
 
There is a whole list of known mutant genes here: Mutant Genes
This includes the eyeless mutation, which from the looks of your axies is what you have.
And you don't have to worry about not breeding them - they are sterile.
And if you want to do some further reading you can look up the scientific papers listed.
