The frog habitat I have has 1 Pseudacris crucifera, 3 Pseduacris maculata and 1 Hyla versicolor. The H. versicolor is still a juvenile (under a year old), and is about the same size as the others. I'm afraid that perhaps it is being out-competed by the other frogs, since they are a bit more aggressive in feeding. I'm thinking about moving the H. versicolor to it's own habitat. I was intending to move it as it got larger anyway, since it would be capable of eating the others when full grown. It just seems a little 'depressed' (less active, even for a H. versicolor). It's not that thin, but I still worry about it.
Is my concern for it's 'emotional' well-being justified or am I just being an overly-doting herpmommy?
It's coloration has changed from a greyish-green to a more gray, and now he's developing this 'dead leaf' pattern. I love watching them adapt their colors.
