A couple days ago, I took apart an old manatee stuffed animal to use the stuffing for something else. My boyfriend and I always joke that our ribbed newts are like little manatees so I decided to try and turn the manatee material and extra stuffing into this little cutie as a gift for him! I’ve never sewed something from scratch, especially a stuffed animal, but I made the pattern myself and used only hand stitching so I’m pretty happy with it! Also our ribbed newts are kinda goofy-looking anyways so I think it works ☺ I hope he likes it!

Honestly, my first look and I'm assuming this was store bought. Great job you knocked it outa the park! Your an old pro.I'd be reluctant to give it up ,if it was mine.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
